    • "Elegy for Antigone for english horn and strings (2013)" is the first composer's adaptation of his main work "Elegy for Antigone for oboe and piano (2012)" published by Jeanne Inc. Publications (USA), including composer's program notes: "Elegy for Antigone for oboe and piano is based on Aeolian Mode and recasts music material borrowed from former compositions. The character of the piece is lyric-sentimental-esoteric with dramatic outbursts, in a process to reflect Antigone’s tragic personality. The tone qualities of the oboe and piano symbolically reinforce the interplay between ‘ethos’ and ‘pathos’ –the two antagonistic poles that constitute Aeschylus’ and Sophocles’ plays. Furthermore, the two oboe cadenzas, the introductory and the intermediate, highlight the technical flexibility of the instrument. The composition was premiered by Dr. Kostis Hasiotis in 2012, at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki Greece".
