"MELOS Project"

 

MELOS is a research project co-funded by the European Union and Hellenic Government, under the initiative of Greece 2.0.

The main objectives of the project are::

  • The development of a musical ontology that will contain innovative elements and will allow the integration of quality assets that derive from music score collections
  • the creation of a set of products for the collection of cultural content and their promotion to other cultural heritage stakeholders
  • the development of national cooperative networks of common management and creation of cultural content from relevant CH organizations
  • the development of a methodology that will support the scientific enrichment of CH content
  • the exploitation of crowdsourcing and social networks
  • the development of tools for integrating searching, linking, retrieving and presenting the enrichment of semantically annotated content
  • the promotion of these tools to the national and international marketplace
